Katie is a multi-passionate artist practising in a multi-disciplinary fashion. After graduating from Macquarie University as the top production/costume designer in her cohort with a double major in film and philosophy, she worked as a freelancer in the Sydney film space until realising that an 84-hour working week, every week, was not the creative life for her. Instead she chose to take a step back from making creative work her job and chose to remember what makes her feel alive again. She took up pottery, poetry, painting, drawing, dancing and finally her soul is back, bright and fulfilled. She continues to create from her embodied human experience and is forever a student of her curiosities. She creates to externalise her soul, to explore the pleasure of movement in a female body, to explore the electric energy of the erotic. She aims to reflect the pleasure she feels when creating.
