As they say, girls will be girls.

I feel constantly inspired by the erotic nature of the feminine. I have been leaning more into the explict nature of this inspiration. Its fun, its playful, its cheeky, its raw and passionate. This is one of my favourite works because it encompasses all of that for me. The story in this work is open ended, up to interpretation, and theres nothing more fun than that.

2 years ago when I knew I wanted to become an artist but was petrified to try, I snatched up all the art books in the library. There was a guide to the Lourve and on one of the first pages was the french painting 'Gabrielle d'Estrées et une de ses sœurs'. In this painting two women sit in a bath tub and one women is pinching the other womens breast but they are told to be SISTERS! This artwork has never left my brain, its humorous, its serious, its playful, its sensuous. And this was the reference that birthed this piece.
